Automotive Technician
Bill’s Automotive is looking for a skilled Automotive Technician to add to our positive and energetic work environment. ASE certified preferred but not required. Our family-owned shop offers a full range of automotive service and repairs where honesty, integrity and the highest ethical and safety standards define us. We seek candidates with excellent diagnostic skills and a strong work ethic to join our team.
Qualities possessed by an ideal candidate are the ability to complete jobs in a timely manner, dependability, good communication skills, and positive attitude. Applicants must be in possession of a valid driver's license and tools (specialty tools provided by shop)
License/Certification
ASE Certification (Preferred)
Driver's License (Required)
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose cause of malfunctions and performs repair with efficiency/accuracy
- Communicates and works effectively with the service manager/owner to obtain needed parts
- Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended
- Road test vehicles when required
- Ensures that the customer’s car is kept clean and work area is always maintained and cleaned
- Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to meet business needs
Other Duties:
- Operate a variety of hand, power, and shop tools
- Keep shop equipment operating (maintain, troubleshoot, repair, etc.)
- Use computer diagnostic equipment
- Maintain clean work area
Experience:
Automotive Repair: 2 years (Required)
Schedule: 730 AM - 4:00 PM (Monday - Friday. Closed on weekends)
